I lost another 2.4lbs this week and I'll take it! Actually, I've lost about 2.4lbs for the past few weeks as it stands. I can't complain though because it's still a lost and as this rate I'll continue to lose about 10lbs/month. I've constantly lost weight for 11 weeks (with 1 week when I maintained), so I'm down 31.6lbs.

I'm still not updating this journal like I'd like to be. There's so much I'd love to share about my weight loss journey. Tips and tricks I've learned to keep me from feeling deprived.

Alas, I joined a gym 2 weeks ago and that's been keeping me busy. I feel like I have no time anymore! I've fallen behind on watching my regular weekly TV shows and I'm not reading as quickly as I was before in a new book series I've discovered. So, unfortunately that puts this weight loss blog on the back burner.

I'd like to change that though. From now, I'm going to make it a goal to post at least ONCE on Saturday or Sunday. I'll set an alarm on my phone or something to remind myself to do as such. Maybe from there we'll see if I can increase how often I post here.

So with that, I'll leave you with this thought:

This is about PROGRESS, not perfection!

So, for those of you who don't know, my attempt at weight loss back in January failed at all costs. I was going through a really stressful time in my life, so it just did not work out. Since then, I've moved to a different state, landed an amazing job, and started Weight Watchers. The thing is... This time is different.

One afternoon in April, I was wandering around a shopping area near my new job and saw a Weight Watchers building. I'm not sure what happened but something in my head definitely clicked. You know when you join weight loss programs or start a diet only half-heartedly? Admit, we've all done it.

I've never really had the desire or motivation to lose weight -- it's always just been something I know that I've needed to do. I'm 23 years old, 5'0" and my starting weight was 242lbs. This is the point in my life where my mind isn't consumed by a million different obligations due to constant school work and outside actives. I can finally dedicate my time to focusing on Weight Watchers.

And that's where I'm at now. In 4 weeks I've lost 13.6lbs -- that's an average of 3.4lbs lost every week! I go for my 4th weigh-in of my fifth week tomorrow. From now on, I plan to keep this blog public. I'll post foods that I discover that work for me on Weight Watchers. I'll write stories of my journey for weight loss. I'll even keep you in the loop of how this affects my body-image/self-esteem.

Feel free to read... or not. It's up to you! ♥
